Participants are introduced to the VIEW model, which explains the three key dimensions of problem-solving style:
  • Orientation to Change (how individuals approach change—more explorer or developer),
  • Manner of Processing (how people process information—internally or externally), and
  • Ways of Deciding (how decisions are made—people-oriented or task-oriented). This section covers the theoretical background and research that underpin the VIEW assessment, helping participants understand the importance and application of these dimensions.

Brian Dorval
Brian has over 35 years of experience helping individuals, teams, and organizations significantly improve their personal performance and business results. As co-founder of Think First Serve Inc. and Better Change Tools, Brian has delivered hundreds of workshops on creativity, innovation, leadership, and performance in 21 countries worldwide.
He is co-developer of CPS 6.1™ and has published over 70 articles, chapters, and books on creativity, mental imagery, and problem solving. Now, with Better Change Tools, he helps other independent and in-house OD consultants to, in turn, convey all of the above to their clients.
Brian is also a USPTA-certified tennis professional specializing in the mental game. He works with regionally and nationally ranked juniors and adults of all levels to improve their mental resilience and enhance their performance in high-pressure situations.
